Trade measurement
Following a request from the National Measurement Institute, MSA (in conjunction with Govt. Skills Aust.) has undertaken consultation and development work focused on providing improved training pathways for Trade Measurement Inspectors and Verifiers.
This training framework will support the Commonwealth/ State agenda for reform of national trade measurement arrangements by setting up a nationally consistent training and skills recognition system for these personnel who have key regulatory roles. See below for a link to the report on Improving coverage for the Trade Measurement sector.
MSA’s consultant Ivan Johnstone (CIT Solutions) has developed
14 new technical units of competency and a range of Skill Sets to meet the ongoing training needs for this area.
MSA07v5 includes new units of competency and Skill Sets for Trade Measurement Inspectors and Verifiers and is now available
live on the NTIS. MSA07v5 is also available from MSA on CD ROM in PDF and Word format, via our
