About the sector

The recreational vehicle sector is one of Australia’s fastest growing sectors. The sector encompasses the manufacture, sale and maintenance of recreational vehicles. The manufacturing of recreational vehicles is labour intensive, with delivery times of up to 20 weeks not unusual. 96% of all recreational vehicles sold in Australia are manufactured here.

MSA’s role in this sector
In 2009, MSA was approached by the recreational vehicle sector and asked to assume responsibility for their qualifications. Currently there are ten qualifications from certificate II to Diploma level covering occupations in recreational vehicle manufacturing, recreational vehicle service and repair and recreational vehicle and accessories sales.
