NSW ITAB
The NSW industry training advisory body (ITAB) role for metal and engineering, process manufacturing and textiles, clothing and footwear now resides with Manufacturing Skills Australia. The ITAB role is to provide advice about industry training needs and related issues to the NSW Department of Education and Training (DET).
Consultation and adviceWe consult widely with enterprises, industry associations, unions, Registered Training Organisations and other stakeholders. We seek input on workforce skills issues including:

the quality and relevance of the national Training Packages |

the need for training resources |
|
the ease of access to high quality, customised training |

issues facing Registered Training Organisations in delivering training and skills programs to meet industry needs |
